 Senior night with Andrew....and some amazing senior moms who still gather together to pray for our sons before the game. I love our community and school.

 

This year Halloween brought storms. We broke our normal traditions of loading up in the back of the trailer and going around the neighborhood to trick and treat. This year Leah changed it up. It turned into one the best Halloween's ever. She and her friend Morgan create a haunted house in the living room. It was equipped with sound effects and a maze to go through to get the candy.

 Even Andrew, our 6ft tall little boy, went through it!!!

 

My crazy wrap business is taking off. It is such a blessing to have the added income with Blake on a mission and Andrew preparing to leave. One thing I have loved is not having to leave my family a ton to make extra money. It is basically sharing the product. It's not just about body wraps. (although I love the wraps) As I have tried other products,  I have realized the company truly has something for everyone and that is why it is growing fast. I have people using facials, body wraps, greens, stress-relief herbs, superfood protein shakes, fatfighters and more. It is fun to see how the products are changing their lives as well. We have began to build a team and can't wait to watch it grow more.  The products and the extra income are already changing my life and it's only been a little over two months. I love the cash bonus rewards they offer and I am so thankful for the "greens"...$33 bucks a month to feel great all the time.  I have not juiced in forever because it is so hard to keep up with the fresh produce but this little jar of greens have given me the energy to keep up with a classroom of five year olds and a busy family. Most are busy moms and dads like myself, lots of adoptive parents on our team, and one mom even has 15 kids. So I think I'm too busy then I think of her! I love how our team is paying for adoptions, putting kids through colleges,  and getting people out of debt.

OH YES SHE DID!!!

This time she let it grow really long so when she donated it she would still have enough hair to pony tail up!!! Love her sweet and giving heart! 12 inches of beautiful hair donated and a happy little girl!!! It took years of work this time!

Leah's biology honors project!!!

 

So in the past month I was given a biology project where we have to come up with a real world problem that needs to be solved!! Automatically, I thought about my nails, since I do them like ALL the time! I thought and thought about what a good problem would be!! Then, it hit me!!! My problem/question ended up being "What nail polish remover works the best?" I figured this out by painting my nails white every Sunday! I would leave that nail polish on and then at the end of the week I would take it off! Each time I took it off I would use a different color nail polish remover! All of the colors have a different 'specialty', I guess you could say! Every time I took it off I would count how many swipes it took for each fingers nail polish to come off! The best one ended up being the purple nail polish! So if your wondering which one works the best, I figured that out for you, its defiantly the purple! So your all very welcome! :)

Andrew got the honor and privilege to escort this little princess that is fighting cancer in our community. She was chosen to be the little homecoming queen. Praying for little Leah as she fights a hard battle. 

new little biz starting to BOOM!

A little over a year ago I heard about these crazy wrap things. I was convinced they COULD not possibly work. Another adoptive mom that I met through blogging had shared with me through her blog. I dabbled around about it. I listened to her....I watcher her!  I was a little fascinated and a little interested but mostly her money making in the biz.   Soon after she began posting about it, Alicia and Thomas came to us! I actually talked to her a bit after that and I decided it was not the time to even consider something like this. I watched her an entire year...she retired her husband, became debt free, helped paid for friends adoptions, and many more things. She has eight children and many adopted. I finally decided to pray about it. Steve and I talked about it. I finally took the plunge. I didn't want to take too much time away from my family since I already work full time. I wanted a way to make extra money and feel good at the same time but not take time away from my family.    My hormones have been whacked lately and I have felt so off balance. My reasoning was:  I needed a way to get ahead on our savings and pay off my student loans completely and I wanted a product that truly worked.  I totally researched the company. I talked to lots of people. I talked to successful people and those who tried it and it was unsuccessful in the biz. I found out those unsuccessful didn't tell anyone about their new product.   I prayed a lot. I felt so good about it. I called Jen and it took me a week to find time to sign up. I thought I was insane. I told everyone I knew and booked a couple of parties. Right before my eyes in less than two months I have realized I have come into something wonderful. I am in awe and so thankful!
The Lord has totally been blessing us.  The products do work and I feel great. I haven't felt this good in a long time. The little biz is easy and fun. It's great seeing people find a product that really changes their life! I laugh in my head every time I hear someone say....it's water loss....there's no way that works.....because I thought the same thing! I love the wraps, the greens the protein shakes and everything I've tried but what pushed me more than the product was the cash.  They are a debt free company. They promote debt free people. This is what really made me decide to jump for the business. They have cash bonus and ways to earn that actually works.   So, I will not put on my brakes with this fun and exciting product.  I am ready to shout it out to the world.  If you haven't tried it you need too.. This sweet girl

Our sweet girl is in recovery! Gall Bladder removed after lots of attacks and pain and trying to figure out what was wrong. We will be glad when she's all better! For now, I am playing nurse mama and when she wakes up maybe we can have a movie marathon!!!

House for sale!

Our house has been for sale since July!

 We have been praying for a buyer and a new family to love our house. Our missionary reminded me weeks ago that it's not my time but the Lord's time.  I was planning on fasting with prayer today about the house selling.   After conference yesterday I was reminded the benefits of fasting with prayer. 

We can fast to help the sick or afflicted, to gain strength,  resist temptation, for something important to us- just like in  Matthew 17:14-21 and really all through the scriptures are reasons to fast. During our adoption I found strength in fasting combined with prayer.   I  had good intentions but soon as my feet hit the floor I found banana bread grandma had sent over late last night and before I even blinked my eye the bread was in my mouth and down my throat.  As soon as it was gone I realized fasting was  not a commitment. It was actually just a thought...like I think I'll fast and maybe the Lord will know I really want the house to sell.  I love the reminder in the scriptures in Psalms 37:5 to commit to the Lord. " Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." I have found myself instead of fasting today reflecting on my commitment and remembering He is always there.  I am writing down new goals. I am starting again. I am thankful for His perfect plan.

 

Zombie race

 

A few weeks ago Andrew went do to GA to participate in a zombie race. Fun times...with cousins and friends.  It would be a nightmare for me to try and run away from Zombies while trying to complete a 5 K but it was loads of fun for them!!!

Back to blogging

Do I dare take on this task of blogging again? It is been a year and a month since I last posted on our old family blog! I closed it down after the adoption of our latest two blessings.  I wasn't sure how much was too much to share about our lives together and I was busy with new adjustments of family. This is my conclusion....I miss blogging. I blogged since 2007!  It is a great way we share our lives with our family that lives far away and now with our birth family.  It is also a way we journal our lives. Blogging made me more aware of my surroundings and blessings. I spent more time counting my blessings and carried my camera more. I love pictures and since the death of my dad, photos are even more important to me. So, I have changed our blog name and here we are opening our lives to share with all of you!
